Saying Goodbye, Embracing Magic, and Embers of Fate Updates

Hi friends,

It’s been a little while since my last update, and I’ve missed chatting with you. Life has been a mix of highs and lows these past few months, and I wanted to fill you in.

First, the highs. On January 1st, ARCs of Embers of Fate went out, and I can’t tell you how thrilled I am by the responses so far! Seeing readers fall for Gwen, Tyreal, and the world of Tavia is everything I’ve dreamed of. I’ve loved hearing which moments made you swoon, cry, or feel like you were right there with them. If you’re reading and reviewing—thank you! You have no idea what it means to me.

Speaking of magic, signed paperback pre-orders for Embers of Fate are now available on my website! These will come with a handwritten note and a little gift from yours truly. If you’re a collector of bookish treasures, now’s your chance!

Now for the bittersweet part. This past holiday season was especially tough as we had to say goodbye to Boone, our 12-year-old dog, after his battle with cancer. He was the first dog I ever got as a puppy and had all the way to the end. He was a true mama’s boy, always keeping me company during late-night sessions crafting Gwen’s fiery determination or Tyreal’s loyal strength. His illness was heartbreaking to face, and I’ll admit it pulled me away from writing for a while. Grief has a way of doing that.

But one thing I’ve learned from both Boone and the stories I write is that even in loss, there’s love. And it’s that love that pulls us forward, helping us find our footing again.

As I dive back into the world of Tavia, I’m reminded of the power of connection—between characters, between readers, and between all of us who share a love for stories brimming with magic and romance. Thank you for being part of this journey.

I’m looking forward to the adventures ahead, especially as we count down to February 14th and the official release of Embers of Fate. I’ll be sharing more sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes tidbits, and maybe even a surprise or two in the coming weeks!

Until next time, stay enchanted,
Dani
