If you’ve clicked around on this site enough to find this page, you’ve probably gathered the basics. I’m an indie author and my debut novel Embers of Fate came out on 2.14.25. It is a Romantasy book dealing with grief, anxiety, living up to the expectations others place on you, but also with a forbidden love story and… And magic for a little razzle dazzle!

I started writing Embers as emails to my husband back in 2012, though there have been through several titles since then. He’s the guy pictured with me over in the photo. Pretty handsome dude if I do say so myself. But he’s gone about 2/3 of the time for work, so we like to write little stories back and forth.

Since then, this story and these characters have refused to let me go. I didn’t use to think I would ever have the guts to share my stories with the outside world, but I promised myself this year, in honor of turning 40, I would. I hope you give the world of Valine a chance, and come get to join all my friends, and by extension, me.
